Im a guide in Wyoming. It all depend on what you are hunting. how big the outfitter is, how many hunts are booked and how good people tip you. Last year i made almost 4,000 in two and a half months. And for being outdoors and doing what i love, that aint bad at all. some of the good thangs about being a guide, the outfitter i work for will let me hunt on our land if i can draw a tag. free food, loging, gas for my truck all part of it. I cant wait untill hunting season starts again.

that is alsome i love to hunt and be outdoors all day long how do you get started in the guide business i was thanking about being a game warden but you don't have a lot of time to do what i love and that is fishing and hunting 4,000 for 2 months is not bad if you get all of that other free sometimes. are most of the guide jobs out west cause i live in south carolina back in the woods

I will be paying my guide $100/day with no benefits. The day starts at 5AM and ends when the last hunter is back in camp with his buck. He actually may have to work 2-3 hours a day, but it may run a lot more if tracking a buck late.

The guide can hunt or do whatever during the day as long as he is available to a hunter within a few minutes of his call. Luckily my guide is a farmer's son and has some time available after the fall harvest.

I sell semi-guided hunts and have a guide available as a bonus for the hunters. It is not promised to them.

Good luck!
