Purchasing from Cabela's

RE: Purchasing from Cabela's
Since there is no Cabela's anywhere near here On Line is the only way I'll order from them. I have a BassPro a hour or so from the house.I usually run down there.Duse500 mentioned shipping charges can be pricey. That's true but you beat the Sales Tax in most cases.I ordered something from The Hunters Closet(Leupold). They charged sales tax and their shipping wasn't a bargain either. In that case I'd been better off going to the store.

RE: Purchasing from Cabela's
Hi all,
I have ordered numerous things from Cabela's both on line and through their operators and have always had fantastic success, however nothing compared to going to the store in Hamburg, PA. The mounts and the general atmosphere were incredible and they really have created a sportsmans haven that all should at least visit if not to shop!

RE: Purchasing from Cabela's
I like both. As stated earlier the bargain cave is worth the trip if you catch some good items. My brother bought a Leupold VX-III 6.5-20x40 with the 30mm tube for $400.00. I also bought a Garmin GPS sells for $269. I got it for $125. It was missing a PC interface cable and a lanyard. I emailed Garmin and they sent me both no charge. Not to mention my niece and nephew call the store the free museum because of the large fish tanks and many mounts!!
