I found the perfect scope with the features I want for a baited bear hunt. German 4a,lighted crosshair Cats eye by BSA. The only thing is they are cheap ! Would it work for a onetime hunt for baited bear ? Normally I use a Lupy 2x7x33 with standard duplex. But I don't have time to change the duplex and I'm a little shot to buy a new one.
Anyone have a website for BSA ?
Another possible purchase is a Bushnell 3200 with firefly crosshair., Has anyone tried one ? Do they have a web site ? I thought they had a reg. crosshair but one person said they had a step down crosshair for the fire fly feature.
Now I'm trying to put one of these scopes on My little BAR81 .358 The leupold is the perfect size and I've shot a bunch of bears with it but last year I couldn't shoot a huge blackie as the standar duplex. So I'm a little concerned. Help !

.358, I think you already know the answer to your question. But since you asked, I'll also answer it. BSA's are cheap scopes. As with many things and partiulary true with optics, you get what you pay for.
The BSA might be acceptable to put on a .22RF for hunting or plinking in the back forty.
The Bushnell 3200 is a decent scope that shouldn't let you down on your bear hunt.

You get what you pay for, that being said I have a BSA Contender 4x16 on my Savage 112 Varmint and have had no problems whatsoever. On a 358 I would spend the money and get a more reputable scope such as the 3200.

I have not used the specific scope you mentioned but I have used three different BSA products with very poor experiences across the board. I had a BSA spotting Scope, riflescope and binoculars. All were sub-par in comparison to Bushnell, Tasco and Simmons. I am always willing to give a company another chance, as in evidence by my buying three of their products, but you won't see me buying any further products that they produce.

I bought a BSA, because of its price for my inline muzzleloader. I had it sighted in and took her out for a early doe season. I needed a doe because we were in a earn a buck area and the rut was fast approaching. I wanted a buck tag for the bow.
Two does walked out 40 yards away and stood. I missed. The next day I went to the range, because I knew something was up. The scope was way off and wouldn't sight back in. I headed to Wal-mart and bought a Bushnell for about $200. Still on the gun today. I'll never buy another cheap scope. Learned my lesson.
