Default THE "noisy" BLYND

Having "THE BLYND" for a few years now, I have noticed that the windows, and especially the door are very noisy. Just wondering if there are ways to quite the noise with lubricants or do I need to alter the configuration of these two parts of the system?

I am not familiar with this blind. Who makes it and/or do they have a website?

The name of the website is "the blynd". It is completely made of plastic. I love it, other than the noise.

I bought one a few years back. The only way to make it quiet is with a gallon of gas and a match.

Take some of this compressed foam insullation, like they use underneath vynil siding amd contact glue it to the inside of the walls, from the floor up to about 36" high. This will damped the noise made by your feet hitting the walls. You can also put some underneath (bottom side) the flooring to dampen the noise. You can get this stuff at nay home builder or improvement store, like Lowes and Home Depot.

I used this same stuff on the floor of my aluminum john boat and it made a huge difference in the noise reduction.

I bought one 3 years ago and was ready to sell it last summer untill I discovered a retro kit for the doors and windows. THe kit for doors replaces the 2 peice job with 1 single swing out version. THe window kit replaces the slide in track version with windows that actually swing up from the inside. I spent about $150.00 for the whole kit and there is no way I would part with my hut now!!!
Noise from the side walls being bumped or kicked is another problem, maybe some carpet on the side walls would help that...........

It made such an incredible difference! One other thing I dislike about the blynd is the that the windo cut-outs will scratch your gun's finish if you lay the barrell on the opening- I will try to find some type of rest for the barrel.
Aside4 from those few things, I love my hut- especially on a cold day

I decided not to get the window conversion because I like that I can have a small opening for my rifle.
