I've owned a number of rubber hunting boots over the years. My favorite by far are LaCross Burleys. I currently own two pair. One uninsulated and the other with 800 grams of thinsulate.
The worst boots were a pair of Itasca's that I purchased about three years ago. They don't have the ankle support that the LaCross give you. They are also are noisy when walking. I still have them but seldom wear them. I also had a pair of Rocky's that were a comfortable boot but split open by the end of their first season.
You can't go wrong with LaCross!

i've been looking for a good pair myself this week and I tried on the lacrosse alphaburly today, they are very comfortable and weigh 3.8 pounds (pair). they are lined with fleece which makes them much more comfortable than the burly classic and probably a little warmer.
found a very good price for them, Cabelas $67.90 this includes shipping.

It appears that there are alot of Lacrosse fans. I would have to gree with them. I bought a pair of the uninsulated variety a couple of weeks ago to turkey hunt in MS. They were what the locals were wearing and with good reason. Reccommended by the locals for protection against snakes which is why I purchased them. However, after wearing them for a week I think they have moved to the top of my list. They were lightwieght and comfortable on long hikes.
