I'm looking at buying my 1st hunting pack and am seriously considering this one. I'm hoping to do a DIY mule deer hunt in the next couple years and am starting to gather gear. Does anyone have any experience with this specific pack or the "Mega" pack?
Thanks,
Brian

I don't have any real experience with it YET, but I just bought the mega for my elk trip this fall. I paid $99 for it in the Cabelas bargain cave. It is in hardwood pattern and not the new All-purpose camo, I think that's why it was discounted. So far, it seems that it will be great. It's very easy to remove/replace the two packs from the frame. Easy to adjust all the straps to fit different sized hunters. LOTS of room. The fanny pack is almost too big, imo. There's plenty of places to tie on external gear if needed.
That's about all I can tell ya at this point.
Here's a link. Looks like they're out of the mega but still a GREAT deal on the regular.

I have used one for over 10 years now and love it .It has packed everything from lopes to alaskan moose. Not one broken parts on it yet with loads near 100 pounds {a wet moose cape cann't be lightened] I use it to carry a spike camp in and game out ,it has more miles on it then I could count and has never let me down. You can hunt with it on, unlike larger external frame packs that are to noisy and bulky.I'll try and post a photo of it in use .
