Polaris vs Honda
#52
model722, man I think ya' ll Polaris riders are compensating for something
always have to be the fastest, with the biggest engine and stuff like " Magnum" on the side of your scooter
. As for the belt slipping, this is mostly a function like I said of how I (and a lot of other duck hunters) hunt. I leave the bike sitting in the water for hours on end (I know there is a lot of water in upstate NY, but try leaving your bike in it for 6 1/2 to 7 hours and see how it likes it), this is probably the worst condition you can ask a bike to perform under and the Honda' s just keep on going (that' s why there are so many down here).
Proper maintenance is definitely key, and it will keep any scooter running longer. The problem is, most people don' t maintain their bikes, they just use them. This is probably the single biggest reason hondas are so popular because they don' t seem to need as much maintenance.

Hothuntndogs-I hate to tell you this but a lot of the honda quads are manufactured in the united states.I just realized that model722 is from newyork.I suppose any quad will do in new york since there aren' t a lot of real mountains or wilderness areas. He probably rides in central park.

Well, I hate to tell you that your wrong. A Honda is still a jap bike.I don' t care what Honda' s copy' s off the great U.S. of A or what color they paint them. Some of our American made cars parts are manufactured in Canada? does that make " the car" Canadan made? yes , no, Maybe. O.K. we have opened a new bag of worms now[
well better run to my boots.

now you just went and got nasty, I live in the adirondecks, nothing but deep snow, mud, and yes moutains. As far as the city goes, there was a deal many years ago were New Jersey wanted it and people had to vote. Well you know what I voted, they could have it, and as far as I' m concerned it really isn' t part of New York.
GordonGekko I sit in water up here for hours on end also, but we have a really neat invention called a boat
In all seriousness all you guys sound like fun, at one time I would have really enjoyed going ridden with ya. Oh for you Honda guys I wouldn' t have minded pulling you, thats if the wheels would stay on the machine, especially when you hit Polaris speed

Hey whats all this crap about Polaris speed? If it won' t run, that equals zero MPH! The best moves I' ve seen on a Polaris is when it is being trailered to the shop!

Where are polaris' s made? i thought canada.
hondas has a huge plant in one of them carolina' s
. oh i know jap carolina!!
hot dog i don' t hold any grudges against japan . i am not prejudice against them . they make fine products . they caused american companys to increase quality to stay in business.
heck take tractors for instance. i have a kubota. folks say why didnt you buy a new holland or john deere? well there compacts are made in japan too. just kubota makes the whole tractor!
polaris has some good ideas just they need to remove snowmobile technology from atv' s (belts ) . i ahve heard more complaints about belts than anything else.
and that must be where jagmagman gets his trailer thoughts!
722 i bet you voted for hillary!

Soark, now your blaming the Canadians for Polaris[
]
! The only ATV I am aware of that is designed & built in Canada is Bombardier...they do make one heck of sled...something the japs and americans have been triing to beat or equal for years. Maybe Polaris should look to Canada??????? My sportsman does not have a belt, it is chain driven!! So at the risk of sounding even more like an idiot, are they using belts now? or am I spending to much time in the heavy windchill.
I haven' t been looking new ATV' s. I have two: a Honda to back up my Polaris and if your a Polaris fan the other way around
. Everybody happy now!!!!
