Nikon 440 vs. Leupold RX II
Hey everyone. First post and great website. I was wondering what yall thought was the better of the two rangefinders. I can get them for about the same price. I will be using them for deer and coyote hunting with bow and gun. Also I know the nikon ranges deer and such at 437 yards. But what about the Leupold. It says 750 but is that reflective or not? Thanks alot

The furthest I've gotten my RXII to range is 476 yards. But that was at a large bridge peer over the river. I doubt it would work that far on a deer. The range is misleading but I wouldn't take a shot from that distance anyways. I found my RXII on ebay for 234 NIB shipped so I couldn't pass it up.

I had the Leupold RX II for a while but switched to the Nikon 440. I like the nikon because it had a little quicker response time and also thought it was more field friendly. (smaller and fits in hand better). both are nice though, I really don't think you could go wrong with either.

I also went with the Nikon 440 as well a couple of years ago. Very well made unit for the money!! Also, who really needs a laser rangefinder rated for over 440 yards anyway???[:-]
