Asolo Boots
Does anyone know the difference between the Asolo Power Matic 200 and the Asolo Power Matic 520? Other than looks, it appears the only difference is 3oz in weight.
While as I REI I looked at the Asolo FSN 95 GTX as it is 6oz lighter. But, it is suede & cordura. Does anyone have any experience on this boot? Also would this boot be better than the 200 or 520?
I will be going on an Elk hunt in Montana near Helena.
Thanks in advance,
BSLugnut

RE: Asolo Boots
I've been wearing the FSN 95 GTX for a while and I love the boot. I could go running in the thing and feel great. It's not the most insulated boot around though. So, depending on when you are going up there I'd really consider a heavier boot with more insulation. The GTX is great if the temps aren't too low, but not for the really cold stuff. In colder temps I wear a La Sortiva Glacier. It's a heavier boot for sure, but holds up great in Rocky Mountian winters. Hope this helps you out!
