Tracking lights

Which of the newflashlights would be better suited for blood trailing, the xenon or the LED type?

I have found that an ol' fashion flashlight works best. My buddy used a "BLOOD TRAILING" light and it stunk to high heaven.

I have read about them on several forums and none of the reviews were good. The consensus was spend your money on a good flashlight instead.

the LED is far better than any I have tried. I was so impressed with my 7LED light I used for tracking that I went out and got another 9LED with both blue and red filters. The batteries seem to last forever too.

LED clipped on your cap bill. Handy if you have to get down on your hands and knees to look. Get the brightes one you can find.

With me I keep a Coleman Lantern w/LP gasin the case, in the truck, with some extra mantles. I have found a bunch of deer with that dood. extremely handy and bright. No stink.
