DOES ANYONE USE TREE SADDLE ON THIS FORUM?
Hi everyone, new to this forum, but was wondering if anyone else uses the tree saddle? I just purchased one and I really like it. Wanted to get some opinions on step positions while climbing and what setup works the best for climbing ease or any tips or tricks you have climbing/using the tree saddle.

RE: DOES ANYONE USE TREE SADDLE ON THIS FORUM?
Ive used a tree saddle for 2 years now and being an old guy-55yo.- I like the idea of 'wearing' my tree stand into the woods. I use mine with either screw in steps or a Lone Wolf Climbing sticks depending on where I'm hunting and the rules about tree steps. It takes some practice to find your comfort zone on how much "Angle to Dangle" but that's really a pretty short learing curve. I recommend it for those who don't want to spend money or tree stands or can't spend it, or for those who wish to lessen the 'pack in load' of stuff they carry into the woods.

Thanks for the reply. When you use the screw in style ones, what is the placement of the steps? Are they more infront of you instead of on the sides of the tree? Also, whats the distance between steps for you? I'm trying to find a good comfort zone for spacing and step placement. Tomorrow will be my maiden voyage for mine...lol. So far i've only been up about 5 foot to get the feel of the saddle. I can tell I am really gonna like it!
