I just don'tthink it is worth the money. Hunt the considering the thermal currents and the wind and you'll have no need of high $ clothing. I figure if I can get deer to walk within 1 foot of me in 90 degree weather without it, why do I need it!

I would do it. I have never hunted without it. So I would not knowif I would have ever been scented or not without it. Never had a deer bust me(that I know of, if I have I did not see it).So the worst thing it could do is give you more confidence.

i have hunted for years before scentlok and had luck but as the hunting pressure grows in the woods scentlok is all i use since it came out. the way i look at it its always worth it to increase the odds in your favor and scentlok does that but if your going to be concerned with scent protection then it needs to start with deoderants, soaps, cover sprays then the scentlok.

I use a scent lok suit, the savanah, very light weight. I'm sure it helps but so do all of the other factors. I do believe that once hunting season begins the deer get more wary. While turkey hunting last spring I had 5 bucks at 15 yds, calm wind, no shower for 2 days! One of them even went to the tree I was sitting under before and was checking out the scent! I think the turkey decoys put them at ease but they must have smelled me!My freind uses a army surplus british chemical suit under his camo, says it does the same thing, costs about $20

I agree with most of the posters who are emphasizing preparation, playnig the wind, etc. That being said, I used to be a real skeptic of Scent Lok. It seemed to be too expensive, to gimicky, and to me it just didn't make sense that it would make any difference.
But about four years ago I decided to try it. Found some on sale at Bass Pro Shop and picked it up. The next Fall, I tried it out. What a surprise! Deer walking within a few FEET of me, coming in downwind from me, never being spooked, and calmly eating. What really convinced me that it can make a difference was a nice 9-pt coming within 11 yards...also came in downwind from me...it also had no idea that I was there.
I am convinced it can make a difference, but it is no magic bullet. You still need to take a shower, watch the wind as best you can, and also...your breath! I am always amazed at how many times I see people hunting who took a shower, put on scent eliminating spray, put on their Scent Lok, and then fail to do something simple like brushing their teeth! Heck, if I can smell the bad breath...imagine the deer!

Yeah, being a dentist I'd have to agree with the toothbrushing advice, I use baking soda before hunting leaving things neutral. Chlorophyll gum can help also. There is also a product called breath assure? It has an enzyme that neutralizes odors from within your lungs, supposedly works in your bloodstream

Not junk, just another tool in your arsenal. It does work but you can't be careless about your other scent preparations. It's like having a top of the line bow and accesories. You can kill deer just as well with the mid-priced stuff too

I agree, If you use it as a tool it will help you more then it hurts you, that said you still need to hone your skills! there are no "super products" that will put a "booner" in your lap!! Good luck on your choice and yes I use it
