I got$99 Moultree digitalcamera for Christmas. It takes a 6 Volt battery. I haven't tried it out yet though. One question for you trail camera guys out there.
Could I just hook the unit up to a large car battery while out in the field
I have a few different batteries I used for electonic fencers. If it would work then I'm sure the battery would last for months. But I'm not sure if that would be too much power. Thanks for the help!

yes.... you can use any 6 volt battery. i use a 6 volt from an emergency lighting system. 6 volts is 6 volts the size of the battery does not matter. the more amp hours the longer it will last. for the guys that have cameras that take 8 d sized batterys which equals 12 volts they can hook up a 12 car battery and run the camera all season. only bad thing is the weight and draging it into the woods. this alsowould notvoid your warranty.
