the rush of hog sticking

RE: the rush of hog sticking
I know of several in this forum that can. But I'll just speak for myself today. It is a thrill that I have indulged in quite a few times. There is nothing like that first time you run in there with tunnel vision and your adrenaline pumping as you shove that Bowie knife into the hilt. Ahhhhhh! That final blood curdling scream as the hog expires. Then trying to get the dam catch dog to let go! LOL, never will forget that.

I can. That's the only way we hunting hogs back when I was in junior high - high school. We'd let the dogs bay/catch and then we'd rush the hog, hold it down, and cut it's throat. Then we had to haul it out on our shoulders. Boy was it a hoot going to the 7-11 for a soda afterward and having everyone look at us funny because we were all covered in blood.

I have. Spent three years in Tejas and hunted them about every weekend. We stuck a few but tied 95% of them and brought them out alive. For me there was more of a rush tieing them than sticking.
