Default sling/strap question on necessity

My 1895CB didn't come with QD studs. Though adding studs for sling attachment isn't really a problem, I am hesitant to do it just because I like the looks of the rifle without the studs.

I plan on using this rifle for hunting and am wondering if rifle slings are a necessity on the field. It's a light rifle. I'm wondering how tired my arms are going to get with it in my hands for the whole day.

You will wish you had some sort of sling after you carry it a few miles. . . . .Can't imagine having walked the25 miles or so I did opening muzzleloading weekend for elk with out one.

The more comfortable you are the longer you will want to hunt and the more you will enjoy hunting. I would defenitely get a sling.
