Last year i set out my hog trap and had 3 mediumsized pigs in it.Well I didnt wont to let them out and shoot them as they came out cause my 6 yearold cousine was with me.Those boogers can be unpredictable sometime so i killed them in the trap.Every since them I have not caught a hog.There has been plenty of hog sign.I have heard once you shoot a hog in your trap they wont never catch anymore in that hog trap.some say i dont matter.If their is anyone who could shed some light on the situation it would be apreciated thanks.

I have done both. I have shot them in the trap and caught hogs the next night,then some other times it takes several weeks befor they go back in.depends on the hog I guess.
