save 110 270 bolt question

Default save 110 270 bolt question

the bolt will not come out of my rifle..the release is on the side below the scope mounts. u are supposed to push it down and the bolt should slide right out..it doesnt..any suggestions

Here is the way I remove the bolt on my Savage model 16 with the accu trigger:

1.Make sure the rifle is unloaded!
2. After you are 100% sure the rifle is not loaded, you must squeeze the trigger and press the release while removing the bolt.

Not positive if yours is the same but you can give it a try.

yes after making sure the rifle is unloaded, you MUST pull the trigger to get the lever on the side to go down, then the bolt should come right out.
