It doesn't seem to be an overly complicated process, but if in doubt, let someone who knows for sure what they are doing, do it.

ok i did the shim trick and it took a lot of play out of the trigger but the pull is still heavy. i think i am going to do the spring and see what that will do. i have a savage rifle "243" and the trigger is great. i wonder why they put such a sorry trigger on the 17 hmr? from what i have been reading they all are heavy and have ton's of unessary travel. i thought that it was just my gun. wonder if there are any more options besides spending more money on a new trigger. that is the whole reason i bought savage is becouse they were good guns and cheap. now i think i should have gone with a ruger
