well fellas, after a week long search on the net and calling gunshops, the Remington 742, or 7400 in 25-06 could not be tracked down, so I checked on the web and I found that Browning makes a BAR in a safari model in.... 25-06, called Cabelas and it will be in my possesion by the first of the year ( had to order it) so my search is over. This will be my first Browning I have ever owned! Sorry Remington, maybe you should offer more than 3 calibers for your rifles.!!!!

does anyone find remingtons selection for the .308 rather dismal?

Remington seems to be doing some cutbacks as far as chamberings and loads in their ammo lately. Wonder why???
