Bersa Thunder .45
#1

I've had a couple of Bersa .380's and they were suprisingly accurate and reliable for the money. Has anyone had a hands-on experience with the new .45? This is on my list of possibilities for a concealed carry weapon along with a compact 10mm. My S&W model 645 in .45 acp is too large for this purpose. I've never heard anything bad about Bersa pistols and there are much better made pistols in todays market, but for under $300.00, think they are hard to beat. http://www.bersa-llama.com/bersa_about.html

I really liked the Thunder .380. It was a great little pistol for the money. I'm a little leary of one in .45 acp. How much bigger is it than the .380? It must recoil pretty severely if it's similar in size.

The .380 weighs in at 23 oz. And the .45 is 27 ounces. Pretty light and recoil may be more noticeable in a compact .45, but less than in a compact 10mm which ballistics show it pretty darn close to the .41 magnum.
