Default Bersa Thunder?

I'm looking for a dependable CCW, that won't break the bank! I thought the Taurus MilPro was it, but I have seen a few bad reports. The other CCW I was looking at was the Bersa Thunder! Should I keep looking? Ideas???

are you looking at the 380 Auto. I have one and it's a real good gun, especially for the money. One problem is finding a CCW holster just off the shelf because it is a little bit bigger than a PPK but not quite as big as some other pistols. Shoots pretty well.

I have a Taurus Milenium and never had a problem with it. I also recently got a S&W Sigma (SW40VE) that is a great gun. It fits my hand very well and if i just pick it up and point it is almost exactly where i would want it to hit. It is a little on the larger side but if you dont mind the size its a great gun and i wouldnt worry about CCW with a Taurus either. My dad had a Bersa Thunder .380 and traded it in for his Taurus 9mm. He never had a problem with the Bersa it was just to small for his hands. You shoud pick it up and see how it feels when you hold it. There is nothing wrong with Bersa's that i know of.

I am looking for at least a 9MM, preferably a .40 or .45 ACP.
I have looked at more review sites, and at least 50% were negative on the Taurus!

My dad has a Bursa Thunder .380. It is a nice little gun for about $225. I have a sig p232 .380 and I love it, but I would not pay the current price for them. I paid $500 in 2001 and now they are about $700 around here. I would have no problem getting a Bursa. If you use it in self defensethe police will just take it anyways.

My dad has a S&W 457S that looks almost exactly like that but is a .45. Its a good gun. If i remember right he got it for $350 at a local gun shop on their S&W days sale. It was a factory sample and had 50 rounds through it by the S&W representatives. It was saposed to be like $450 new.
