BUSHMASTER AR-15
I am looking a purchasing a bushmaster ar-15 model XM15E2S-A3 WITH A 20" barrel.
I have gotten a price of $825.00 do you think this is a good price. I will be using this gun for shooting coyotes or is there a cheaper gun you can recommend.
Thanks

RE: BUSHMASTER AR-15
It sounds like a fair price.I gave 899 for my A3 with 20"bbl I have yet to scope it or shoot it. Most that I have talked to on AR-15.com like the Bushmaster the best. Try AR15.com again they can tell you a lot about this style rifle. Hope this helps.

RE: BUSHMASTER AR-15
Take a look at the Armalites. I have an AR-10 in the .243 caliber. Great varmint gun, and is a heck of a lot of fun to shoot. Not a lot of recoil, and with a 3-9 scope will shoot 1" groups at 100 yards all day. The AR-15 .223's they make are also very good quality, good varmint guns, and are probably in that $800-$900 range.

RE: BUSHMASTER AR-15
Love my Bushmasters. I have the 16" carbine model and the 20" standard model. Weird model numbers.
Really love my Armalites! I have a 20" AR-15 (although the model number is something else. Don't know off hand without going downstairs to the safe).
But I absolutely love my Armalite AR-10T. That's .308, with a match free floating stainless steel barrel. Flat top upper. Probably the most accurate .308 semi auto on the market. I love shooting it more than my Hk91.
The only bad thing about the Armalite AR-10 and AR-10T chambered for .308, is that the gun uses converted Springfield M1-A magazines. Armalite charges $25.00 per magazine just to convert it over to fit/function in there guns. With the price of a regular 20 round Springfield magazine (anywhere from $60.00-100.00) plus the additional cost of shipping the magazine to Armalite and paying $25.00 per mag for the conversion process, you're wallet really starts getting skinny.
I own 2 Springfield M1-A's and I have about 15 20 rounders for those two guns combined. Coupled with my AR-10T and it's 10 twenty rounders, I've spent way too much money over the years. I'm flat assed broke now!!!!
Back to the original point...Go with Bushmaster. You will not be sorry. The craftmanship, and especially the CUSTOMER SERVICE at Bushmaster is A+, compared to everywhere else. If you call Bushmaster and need to speak with a tech, they'll put one on the phone with you immediately. Armalite isn't so "user friendly", but their weapon systems are superp too. Just about $200.00 more for their guns.
As far as accuracy??? I've knocked down dozens of coyotes at at least 400 yards with my little 4X scope. The gun is deadly accurate. Don't worry about the hardchromed barrel thing. The gun will knock down tight groups at long distance for hunting purposes all day long. Especially if you use quality ammo like "Black Hills".
I'd bet my life on a Bushmaster any day.
