I quess I would get the Sako too. However when it comes to accuracy the Savage is second to none. In out iof the box accuracy. A guy can knock thier looks and maybe finish but for strenght and accuracy the are as good as any. Way back when I had a couple rifles built on Savage actions. Great rifles.

While I think savage is a solid rifle, I personally don't like blind magazines thus not my first choice.

Since you can get the Sako at that price I would go for that. The Savages are very accurate rifles.I have a old Sako in 243 that will drive tacks. Like DG said think of resale value.The Sako will hold it's value allot better then the Savage.Which ever you decide on top it with a good scope.You'll be set for many years to come.
