Default sako or savage

I am going to get a big game rifle and was on the fence between a savage or a sako. i just gat a savage 12bvss and really like it. the next rifle will be in .300wsm. I was tinking about he sako 75 finnlight or the savage 111 stainless/syn. I love the feel the sako stocks but I like the fact that the savage has a longer 24" barrel, the sako has a 22 7/16" barrel.
Everything you hear about savage lately is great and my 12bvss shoots one hole at 100yds (22-250).
whats your opinion?

The Sako will be more refined than the Sabvage. However, I doubt that it will be more accurate. I would purchase the Savage. I would definitely buy a new model that comes with the accutrigger. I would use the money you save and invest in the highest quality optics you can afford. I like Leupold VX-III, Bushnell Elite 4200, Burris Signature Series, Zeiss, & Swarovski. There are others, but if you choose one of the above I think you will be very pleased.

Guess it depends on how much money you're willing to spend. If the money's no problem then I'd get the Sako (I own two of them BTW). If the budget is a little tight I'd get the Savage. Of course, there are other options, but you only asked about the above two.

Being financially embarrassed I would have to go Savage. One of by hunting buddies has a Sako 300 Win Mag. That is a fine gun. The Savage will most likely shoot right along with them though. Put a Bushnell 3200 scope on it and you will have a good package at a pretty good price. IMO.

I would go with a Sako if you ever want to build a custom rifle you have a very good action to start with. Good luck.

If money isn't an issue, you'll get a much higher quality weapon with the Sako. the Sakos I've owned were on average more accurate the Savage rifles I've had.

thank you all for your answers. money is not really the issue. I work at a gunshop and I can get the sako for about $760 when the regular seling price would be about $1100 plus tax. The savage would still be cheaper about $500-600 or so but how else could you not justify getting a $1100 rifle for just a few hundred more than the savage?

I will put a Burris Sig. 4-16 electro-dot or a burris FF2 4.5-14 lrs bal-plex.

When you put it that way, I'd go for the Sako. What would have been a tough decision before becomes easy.
