I found the Vero Vellini the most comfortable, stay where ya put it sling I have used to date. Had it on my Whelen (10=lbs) and it was nice to carry. Put one on my 444SS as well. It is nice and wide at the shoulder spot so ite distributes the weight well. The reinforced neoprene also takes away most of the bouncing shock felt in the "solid" designs. Take it from Mikey......."TRY IT, YOULL LIKE IT"

I always used the wide leather ones from K-Mart for about $15. with the fleece lining they were always comfy for me, never really liked the narrow leather military type slings...

If the neoprene does not stretch (has a nylon strap on the back) they are fine. If they do stretch then they will bounce right off your shoulder. Aint worth a flip and a real pain in the arse.
I prefer the solid leather type that are wider at the shoulder and have a sewn in pad or the claw slings for synthetic stocked rifles.

I bought a Vero Vellini sling a couple years ago and didn't like it. It felt like my gun was hanging by a rubber band over my shoulder. The sling was OK, I just didn't like the stretchy neoprene it was made of.
The slings that I use on all my rifles and turkey shotgun are the Uncle Mike's Ultra Sling. They are made of cordura and have a non slip backing to keep the gun from sliding off your shoulder. The price is right and they look good also. You can check them out here.
