Could somebody tell me what the difference between a Leupold standard one piece scope base and the Leupold quick release base is. It's clear why the QR base is called that but it seems to me that the standard piece base doesn't require a screwdriver either, shouldn't it also be considered a quick release What am I missing?
The question isn't rhetorical, I need to buy one for a Browning BAR rifle and I just need a suggestion. Please advice.
Sincerely,
Garen

Thanks Otis,
When you say "twist the front one", do you mean with scope on or without?
Becouse if with the scope on, the difference between to bases could be about
seconds. And what about the rear screws?
