Huntsalotey

I was putting my scope on this evening and wanted to know how tight should I tighten the rings down? I don't want to bend the scope or mar it in anyway that would damage it and its use. I have a broad history of over tightening things to the point that i have ripped studs off when changing or rotating tires, I constantly turn the heads off screws and so on. What is a good rule of thumb maybe that could guide me in doing this correctly?? Thanks for the help.

I always just snug them up and turn 1/4 turn with locktight on the screws.just make sure they are snug.or the scope will come loose.

Leupold recomends that base screws be torqued to 20 inch lbs., and ring screws to 13 inch lbs. Good luck
