Default Mounting a scope tight?

Howdy! I'm heading off to the hills right after work to sight in my new 30-30. I am putting scope on it as well for the hunt. What can I use other than Lock Tight to put on my mounting screws to keep them tight? I won't have time to make it to the store? Any household products work?
Also, anybody checked out the ballistics on the Fusion bullets in 30-30? Ballistics on paper are better than Federal Nosler Partitions & Remington. Better bullet?

One thing that will help keep the scope mounts from coming loose is to make sure to degrease the screws and the holes they screw into. Gunscrubber, which you can buy at Walmart is very good for this. Acetone will do it too. Degrease the inside of the rings and the scope tube also.If you don't have access to LockTite then maybe some clear fingernail polish would do. I've never used it personally, so I don't know for sure it this will work. It might actually be too permanent.

Sorry, can't answer you question about the Fusion bullet. Never used it.

My local sporting goods dealer recommended using fingernail polish, but again i have not personally tried it. I just tighten down the screws with elbow grease!

a drop of superglue works fine.the screwswill not shake loose but can be removed easy with ascrew driver. we started doing this years ago on our dirt bikes and just carried it over to ours guns and scopes.
