ive just gotten a rem model 710 in 270 and like it alot except the bolt doesnt want to close up easily it slides real nice but when i go to throw it over i have to kinda force it more than it should need to be any ideas on a porblem or remedy???

That mit be a indocashon that the head spaes is not rigth and should be look at by a gun smith or tha manufacter good luck

I really wish you would have read the reviews on the 710 before getting it. They are notorious for problems and having a rough action is one of the most common ones.

This condition appears to be normal for that rifle model.The ones that I have handled were so rough that fast cycling of the bolt was not possible.
