OK my dads gun has been handed down to me
and now it is my turn to hunt with it. It is an older Marlin .35 lever action with scope in perfect shape. What I need to know is at what range is it safe to shhot a deer. I don' t like to " wound and track" . I want to make a clean kill shot. What is the range on a .35 ? Thanks for any help.

You know.....after this post has been on here for awhile, you will have several answers, all probably different.
(Of course, that' s what makes this a great website) Someone will say 100 yds. Someone else will say 200 yds. Then some joker will come along and say, " my brother in law used one of them 35 Remingtons to shoot a big fork-horn at three quarters of a mile. So it must be good for at least 2 miles!"
Cracks me up.
PS- I agree with Bigbulls, (150 yards)
