Takedown range for a .35 rem ??

OK my dads gun has been handed down to me :)and now it is my turn to hunt with it. It is an older Marlin .35 lever action with scope in perfect shape. What I need to know is at what range is it safe to shhot a deer. I don' t like to " wound and track" . I want to make a clean kill shot. What is the range on a .35 ? Thanks for any help.

It' s good to about 150 yards for deer size game provided it' s accurate at that range.

You know.....after this post has been on here for awhile, you will have several answers, all probably different.:) (Of course, that' s what makes this a great website) Someone will say 100 yds. Someone else will say 200 yds. Then some joker will come along and say, " my brother in law used one of them 35 Remingtons to shoot a big fork-horn at three quarters of a mile. So it must be good for at least 2 miles!"

Cracks me up.:D

PS- I agree with Bigbulls, (150 yards)
