I have to go with some of the other guys and say choose between the .270, .308 or the .30-06 either one of them will do the job well and as far as I know the .30-06 ammo is very cheap.

I think it' ll be which caliber the rifle is that fits me good , that they have, in stock. But i' d prefer the .308 or the 30-06. As for scopes, I think i' ll settle with one of the busnell elite 3200s. and a good set of scope mounts.
