Ruger chambers their stainless sporter model in .280. I almost bought one but since I have a .25-06 and 7mm mag. I bought one in .300 mag.

I am a really big fan of the .280. If u get one i would recommend getting a Tikka. I have one and it is a very accurate gun. Very good for the money. I picked it up for $525.

punt, Does Tikka still chamber the 280? I was on their site a few days ago and I saw about everything except the 280. I' ll have to check again I guess.

cblewis, I checked the site and I didnt see it on there either. Im not sure if they stopped chambering the .280 or they messed up on the site.

I would check out the Browning A-Bolt Stainless Stalker in .280 or if that' s a little over your price range, the Remington 700 Mtn. Rifle or Ruger makes it in their model 77 in 3 configurations, a blued walnut model, stainless synthetic model and a stainless brown laminate model. Just a few options for you to check out!
