Savage rifles

Savage rifles are kinda like yankee, country girls... they're much better in the hands than they are on the eyes but their "function for the dollar spent" make them worth the effort!
They'll never win any beauty contests and their finishes are typical of the cheap mfgrs but they shoot mighty danged good! I've had a ML10ii smokeless mzldr for over a decade now and I wouldn't have another smokepole. Same goes for my plain jane wood, blued 22-250 (mdl 10?) it'll part the hair on a gnats rear at 200yds.
You buy a Savage to put holes in things (besides your wallet), not to brag about or look at!

Never been a Savage fan just based on looks. Always loved my Remingtons. Just ordered a new deer rifle and money was tight so the remington i wanted was out of budget. Heard nothing but good things from friends that owned Savages. So i now have a Savage Model 16 Trophy Hunter Stainless in 6.5 Creedmoor coming my way. Everyone seems to say that they are tack drivers and how they out shoot all there other rifles. Guess i will see in a few days.
