.270 horn. 140 Interlocks vs. 130 win. powerpoints?
Well, after my second day of shooting at the range and 5 different loads the best two out of my tikka are the 130 powerpoints and the 140 interlocks. They both shot under 1" groups for me out of my .270 at 100 yards. And since I rarely take a shot even over 100yds for deer in MN that is plenty good for me I would think. Now the big question? Which one would be recomended over the other and why for my situation? Or is it a crap shoot between the two? Thanks for all your help! DRH1175

Assuming that they are factory loaded then I would shoot the least expensive. Even if they were hand loaded I' d still go with the least expensive bullet. Not because I am a cheap SOB but because either one will take any deer out there well beyond your 100 yards that you usually shoot and none of them will ever know the differance. So why pay more for the same results?

I' d have to agree with Bigbulls. Considering you' re hunting deer and both bullets seem to perform accuracy wise about the same.....shoot the least expensive! I know there are some that will tell you don' t risk losing an animal over the cost of a bullet.....and I' d agree. But for deer size game there is no " significant" difference between Power Points and Interlocks! They both perform well on " medium" size game, will produce decisive wound channels in those weights in a .270, and will usually exit on whitetails.
Use whatever you have most of on hand....or whichever is least expensive! They will both get the job done well.
Best of luck!

i find that the 130 will shoot flatter at long range like out to 300 yards. but if you are at 100 then either will be fine. go with which ever you are comfortable with.
