I have never owned the fullfields. But I have owned a number of the compacts and was very pleased with them. They were clear and bright (even considering the compact lens), consistant when adjusted, and once zeroed.....they stayed zeroed! I never had a problem with any of my Burris' s. I trust them!
Good luck with your decision!

I own a burris sig. series and have no complaints what so ever. I find it to be as good as my loopy vari x III. A buddy bought the FFII after I bought my sig series and loves it. POI holds on both scope models & tracking is true...2 very important things when considering a scope for hunting...imho. I will say the loopy has never caused me a minute worth of worry and highly reccomended from my stand point. I do also have some bushnell elites and they are pretty good for the money. To my eyes the FFII of my buddies is clearer and brighter than my 3200 elite, but that is just my prespective. I say can' t really go wrong with either Bushnell or Burris for a good priced, reliable scope & fairly good optics. If given the choice (since I like 50 MM objectives) I would pick the Burris, I like the styling, length, eye relief and weight of the FFII vs elite. In 40 the styling, etc is similar so basically a wash, however the burris does provide longer eye relief, which may or may not be a consideration for you.
