Default RE: Muzzle brake????

I had a m/brake put on my .300 win mag. E.ABrown put the OPS style on it. I do not have any regrets. He told me this style of brake would reduce felt recoil by as much as 70%. He was right, I can shoot my .300 all day, it recoils less than some .243' s. My groups have improved dramatically. Yes, the noise level is a little higher but not like I thought it would be. It really doesn' t sound too much different than other .300' s. At the range, other shooters were suprised that it wasn' t booming too bad, and when they shot it they loved it. I have killed three deer with it so far and my ears haven' t been ringing or anything. Of course at the range you need to wear hearing protectionat all times.
