RE: Speer Grand Slam ammuntion
My experience has not been that good. I have reloaded for over 20 years and had some grand slams given to me in 160gr 7mm cal. When i loaded these up with 2 different types of powder H4831 and RL 22 (to be exact) I couldnt get any range out of them. They held tight groups at 100 yards but the bottom fell out when I shot out at 300 yards. I really dont know why,I know grand slams have great rep. but I never could get them to shoot right for me. I still have them ya wont them?

My only experience with Speer's Grand Slam is via handloading.....
I just didn't get good accuracy with them......and because of that never tested them on game.....so I cannot comment on their terminal performance. I no longer even consider them when buying.
They are not a premium bullet as some believe....they are a standard cup and core bullet.....(not bonded)
