I'd just take it off, send it in again and tell them the history. Tell them you want a new replacement for it. In every industry, a lemon pops up once in awhile. I'm pretty much a diehard Leupy fan, and I've had to send a scope or two back. Usually for reticle changes. They have a great customer service base.

I have both Burris and Leupold scopes Ilike one just as well as the other. I also have a $150.00MuellerI like as good or not better then some of the higher end scopes. Ihave beenplanning to purchase a Burris tactical for my AR in the future. I was doing some price comparing and research online only to find this on one of the web sites that listed Burris.

We apologize, we are no longer carrying Burris Scopes due to quality control issues.
Burris used to be a "good old boy" scope and an American staple brand.
This is no longer the case. The return rate has been high and customer
satisfaction has diminished. We do suggest you consider other brands
like Zeiss, Nikon, Trijicon etc.

Now am I still going to buy a Burris yes I like the one I have just fine.It hasdone well as have my Leupolds.I’m sure for every bad Leupold theres a bad Burris or Etc. they all have have a lifetime warranty so it’s just a matter of personal opinion.

I have had a Leupold VX-I 3-9x40 on my 270 and replaced it last year with a VX-III. Put the VX-I on my loaner gun 243 and the rest has been history. Great Scope great Service...Love both of these scopes.
