Browning Gold Hunter
Just bought a Gold hunter 2 3/4 & 3" 26" barrel. It reads Made in belgium assembled in portugal.I have some A-5 brownings, but have never had any experience with the gas -operated brownies.I have not had a chance to shoot it yet.I really like the look and feel of this gun.I think it will probally be a pretty good rabbit ,bird gun.Any body have one ,and how do you like yours. Will they handle the low brass shells and the heavy stuff without changing rings etc. Thanks

RE: Browning Gold Hunter
Hey Swampdog I bought pretty much the same gun 2-3 years ago 26in" & 3in" chamber. L like the gun a lot. It has very minimal recoil and is a great bird gun.
I don't know that much about low brass shells. However I may have an idea. I have had problems shooting Winchester's cheaper shotguns shells out of it. It usually jams up and is unable to eject the shell from the chamber so I switched over to a diffrent type of shell (Fiochhi) and it has worked great since. I hope that helps

RE: Browning Gold Hunter
I just got a gold hunter european (satin finish w/ a semi-humpacked reciever) It cycles all my loads very good and kicks like a 22, i miss being a little bruesd after a day of shooting..the only hting i have really is the d*mn recoil pad, it sticks to my shoulder so i can make any fine adjustments...+its about 3/4 inch long so i just cant take it off. Why do they have such a hefty recoil pad on a gas operated gun?
