Default Sportsman 78

Howdy yall. I've got a Remington Sportsman 78, which was my grandad's, and is now mine. I want to put some new open sights on it, but don't know what will and won't work for it. I was wanting to get an XS Ghost Ring backup, but do not know if it will work. Does anyone have experience with the 78's sights?

Default RE: Sportsman 78

It is basically an economy Model 700. So anything that will fit a 700 will fit the Sportsman 78.
If you want to get rid of it let me know.
I have owned one for 30 years and it is a tack-driver!!! I put a lone wolf stock on it and have a Ziess 2.5x-10X52MM Scope on it. It is light, accurate and all the gun I need for anything in NA.
