it all depends on the weight of the rifle. you can't go wrong with the .25-06 or 7mm08. i personally favor the .25-06. buy either one and let her shoot it, if the recoil is too bad...put a Sims Recoil pad on it.

I shot a 7-08 for the first time last year, a Browning gold medallion, 3 shots and I had a bruise.
It surprised me how much it kicked.
Non existent is my 14lb, Bull Barrell.243...."
