Like others have said already, either one wouldn't be a bad choice. Personally, I like the WSM's, and have now bought my second 300 WSM. I think the SAUMs will go bye-bye in time, but the WSMs, by popularity alone, are here to stay.
I might have jumped on the WSM bandwagon, but I'm still a big fan on the "regulars," especially my .338 Win. Mag. (semi-custom) and my .375 H&H.

I also think the WSMs will thrive, but I'm not so sure about the Remingtons.
If I didn't already own a long 7 Rem Mag and a long 300 Win Mag, I'd buy WSM.
Like already said, the critter won't care.
Never trust a bow under 40 (inches).
