Help! need replacement scope mount screws
Help guys! I need some replacement 7/64 fine thread socket head (allen head) screws for my scope mounts/rings. A couple of them are stripped out and my dang scope came off my rifle this last weekend.
Any idea where I can find these? I tried midwayusa to no avail.

I would check with a gunsmith for new screws and you will probably have to chase the threads with a tap depending on how bad the threaded holes are. If the threads are stripped real bad you might have to go with the next size machine screws...

RE: Help! need replacement scope mount screws
That is not a common thread size for most scopes.
I believe that a 6/48 or 8 / 48 sounds more like it.
If the rings are stripped, a new screw is not going to fix the problem and a new set of rings are in order.
What brand of rings are they?
Most screws can be had from Grice Gun Shop - Clearfield PA

If they ain't gottem, they ain't any! (Most GOOD scope mount screws are usually 6-48's or 8-40's. There are coarser screws on some of the less expensive mounts, however. These are usually the ones that strip out, particularly if the rings and bases are made of some kind of aluminum alloy! IF worse comes to worse, you might have to get a tap, and recut the threads to a size that cleans outthe current threads. Either a 6-48 or an 8-40 tap will completely clean up the present holes, if they are 7/64" (0.10973") I'd use 8-40's, as they are stronger than the 6-48's.

Thanks for the help, advice and replies gents.
I will try Brownells.
I tried Ace hardware...no dice.
I'm not sure which type of rings they are. I have a Tikka rifle and it has a long, skinny groove down the top of the rail that I slide my rings on and then tighten the allen screws down and it clamps the rings into those skinny rails. (Not sure if that makes sense)
