i am wonting to get a shotgun for deer season and am wondering if i should go with a rifled barrel or not also should i go with one shot pump or semi auto what are the pros and cons with each don't care about the money

it depends how long of a shot you would be taking i think 50 yards or 100 or less a smoothbore would be ok, but i would get a rifled barrle, because the are more accurate at longer distance, that is what i am doing, and i also got a single shot, i have hear they are more accurate, but i am not sure if that is true, but i also like single shots, so really the action is your choice. hope this helps

First time I moved to MD in 96, I used a smoothbore on my first deer here, and that evening I went and got a rifled barrel with rifle sights. The bead took up the whole side of the deer at 40 yards. That ain't no way to hunt.
