shotgun for deer season
 
i am wonting to get a shotgun for deer season and am wondering if i should go with a rifled barrel or not also should i go with one shot pump or semi auto what are the pros and cons with each don't care about the money

it depends how long of a shot you would be taking i think 50 yards or 100 or less a smoothbore would be ok, but i would get a rifled barrle, because the are more accurate at longer distance, that is what i am doing, and i also got a single shot, i have hear they are more accurate, but i am not sure if that is true, but i also like single shots, so really the action is your choice. hope this helps

First time I moved to MD in 96, I used a smoothbore on my first deer here, and that evening I went and got a rifled barrel with rifle sights. The bead took up the whole side of the deer at 40 yards. That ain't no way to hunt.

If your going to use the shotgun for deer only, then go with a H&R Ultra Deluxe, won't break the bank
