Anyone doing the Jan. deer hunt on LI? Season opens on Jan.9

Where can you shotgun hunt on the Island? I hear a lot about the monster bucks roaming the Island but most seem to be in people's backyards just like Jersey.

I entered the drawing but didnt go. I will go on standby aswell, on a monday. I was in hither hilll last year opening day. We didnt get a damn thing.

Just got my Southampton town permit and landowners endorsement, I'll be out in Speonk on private land the entire season. DJ, I'll find out by Thursday if any extra endorsemeents are available.

hey lpv77 it all depends on where you go in hither hills. i missed a BIG 10 pointer out there last year but it was with a bow. shot right underneath him. boy was i UPSET
