Has anyone out there heard of or is using the JP Recoil Eliminators. Supposedly it will reduce recoil 70%. I talked to the guy at JP and he stated that if you had a .300 win mag with the recoil eliminator on it that the felt recoil will be the same a 243. That sounds really great. Any feedback will be appreciated http://www.jpar15.com/index2.htm

Littlemac I have one. I bought a 7mm RUM last year and I swear there isn't a bullet leaving the bore!! Feels like I'm shooting blanks. The guys who developed a load for me for this gun are truly amazed since they're both veteran range junkies. You have to shoot it to believe it. The guys in Minnesota know what they're doing and when I talked to them on the phone they mentioned that the more magnum the gun the better the thing seems to work. I have to wholeheartedly agree. The only problem I have is that because of the way it looks the fellas at deer camp kiddingly call it my Star Trek Ray Gun.

soonershooter, have you noticed any more noise with this on or is it the same or is it quieter? i know that traditional style muzzle breaks increase the noise level and i was wondering if this did the same.
thanks.
If you're not huntin' you're not livin'!!!!!!!!

cam2,
They all do. They all direct gases up or back or both and this counter force to recoil "pulls" the gun away from the shooter so the felt recoil is reduced. This JP brake work so well because it is styled after howitzer brakes. I always wear hearing protection at the range like everyone else but when hunting it doesn't bother me. It's amazing when you hunt lots of things don't bother you!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> One thing to remember if you ever go on safari most African professional hunters won't permit muzzle brakes on their client's rifles because of the blast factor since the guide usually stands astride the hunter or even lets them rest the barrel on their shoulder.
