I like the 22-250, I killed several groundhogs with mine. But if i bought another varmit rifle it would be the swift. I shot my cousins ruger in one and it is tough. He has a stainless Ruger varmit rifle with a heavy barrel and benchrest stock using like a high powered target scope. He handloads ballistic tips for it and ive seen him continusly cut bullet holes at 200 yards just playing around. The 220's are just so fast its unreal. Now i want one,

I'd go with the .22-250 just because I don't think that for hunting ranges the .220 does that much more. If you want it to do paper along with hunting, might as well buy the .220, since it's going to give you a bit flatter trajectory, and if you're paper shooting, you'll notice the difference.
Screw the 10 ring, keep them in the zero!!!

If you buy into the short, fat powder column equating to greater accuracy potential then the 22-250 Rem is your round. I have shot several and all were tackdrivers. As far as the 220 Swift being faster, well it is a little faster but on a good day maybe 70-100 fps. Are the varmints going to know the difference? Nope. Are you going to notice the slight difference in trajectory? Nope. Will your 22-250 barrel last longer than the 220? A little.
BTW, as for which rifle, Savage hands down.
