What Do You Think Of S&W Buying Thompson Center Arms?

RE: What Do You Think Of S&W Buying Thompson Center Arms?
A few years ago when the Brit group owned S&W it had withered to almost nothing a shadow of it's prior self. Then when this American ownership group bought it the company has sprung back to life and is aggressive and well funded and committed. So, just based on what has happened there I would think it may be a good thing. Only time will tell.

I just hope it doesn't cause S&W to "cheapen" their frames from "hammer forgeing"to a "casting" like Ruger does.
Casting isthe wayTCmakes "their" frames, and now S&W has bought that technology. It wouldn't be much of a stretch for them to move over to a cheaper design forS&W frames too.
On the other hand, perhaps S&W money will allow some neat new products?

I'm sorry to see t/c sell out . They have agood product and excellent service dept. I'm not so sure that smith& wesson can match t/c for a qaulity product or that they will even try.
